Suspected sponsor of Boko Haram sect executed at police station
| August 03, 2009
Alhaji Buji Foi, an alleged sponsor of the Boko Haram Islamic sect has been executed by the Nigeria police in Maiduguri, Borno State, the Guardian newspapers reported. Alhaji Buji Foi was a Borno State Commissioner for Religious Affairs during Borno State Governor Ali Modu Sheriff's first term. He was also an ex-Chairman of Kaga Local Council. He was arrested by joint military forces and taken to Government House to show him to the governor but the governor was absent and so he was taken to the headquarters of the Nigeria Police where he was executed. Sources say Alhaji Buji Foi fought the joint military forces in a gun battle before he was captured. He was executed about 24 hours after the sect's leader, Mohammed Yusuf, was killed while "trying to escape" from police custody.

The sudden deaths of both the leader of Boko Haram and the sponsor at the Police Station is suspicious.

It reminds me of the sudden death of one cocaine pusher, Mrs Gloria Okon, in prison in northern Nigeria sometimes under the military regime in the 1980s. Later, the Almighty Father was so gracious to her that she resurrected in London and was attending parties and ceremonies.

The desire by the late Mr. Dele Giwa to report this fact was said to have culminated into his sudden death in the hands of the military authority. The import of the foregoing is that both leaders are not death. They must have been given safe passages to protect some powerful interests in Nigeria and abroad. That is the truth.

If the Police claim remains the same, I recommend that all those on duty at the Stattion be arrested immediately and prosecuted for taking the law into their hands. Perhaps these officers have accepted prosecution for the sins and offences of others, the Boko Haram group

God bless Nigeria.
